Privacy Policy

About this policy

CVXone is independently operated by its owner under the public name CVXone. This policy explains how the current product handles information entered into its career-document tools, browser storage, contact correspondence and exported documents.

CVXone is publicly available at www.cvxone.com. The descriptions below concern its current implementation. Production website infrastructure and its handling of technical information are described based on the current public deployment.

For questions about this policy, contact cvxone1@gmail.com. The Contact page explains what information is useful to include and what information to leave out.

This policy also covers optional AI processing of cover-letter text. Ordinary editing and saving use browser-local storage; requesting AI improvement transmits the text for remote processing.

Information you enter

You choose what information to enter into CVXone.

Your Career Profile can include your name, professional title, contact information, location, website and LinkedIn address, professional summary, employment history, education, skills and languages. You may also select a profile photo.

CV previews use information from your saved Career Profile and the selected template. Different templates change the presentation; CVXone does not independently save separate CV versions.

The Cover Letter editor holds sender and recipient information, an organization and target role, optional job-description context, a date, document language and the letter text. Job-description context is saved with the draft but is not included in the printed letter.

Job Application records can include company and recipient information, role, location, job reference, job URL, job description, application message, deadline, notes and a CV template selection. These records support application preparation; they do not contain independent copies of your CV or cover letter.

Avoid entering information that is unnecessary for your document or application preparation. Take particular care with information about other people.

Browser storage and temporary processing

Your saved Career Profile, its photo, one saved Cover Letter draft and multiple Job Application records are saved in this browser using IndexedDB.

This storage belongs to the browser profile and site address you use. It is not synchronized between browsers or devices.

Profile photos are processed locally in the browser before saving. CVXone uses a temporary local photo display URL to show a stored photo. This URL is not a public photo link.

Your browser language preference is stored separately using localStorage.

CVXone may read and migrate older Career Profile backups already present in browser storage. Those legacy backups can remain after migration or a later Save.

Temporary in-memory draft recovery can retain unsaved work during applicable same-session navigation. It is not persistent browser storage and must not be relied on as a backup.

When information leaves the browser

Choosing Improve with AI sends your current cover-letter body and selected document language through CVXone’s Cloudflare Workers to OpenAI for a wording suggestion. This includes unsaved text and any personal information in the body. Review the suggestion before accepting it.

Separate profile records, photos, sender and recipient fields, job-description context and application records are not included as separate fields in this request. Anything copied into the letter body is included. Other actions that send or share information include:

  • Emailing CVXone sends your message through ordinary email infrastructure.
  • Browser print / Save as PDF creates output using your browser and chosen destination.
  • Sharing a document, using a cloud printer or uploading an export elsewhere is a separate action under your control.
  • Following an external link can send ordinary request information to the destination website.

Normal website access also involves requests for pages and resources. The production handling of website request information is addressed separately below.

AI processing depends on the service being enabled and configured. Clicking Improve sends the request to CVXone’s server even if AI is unavailable; a disabled server rejects it before forwarding to Cloudflare Workers or OpenAI.

Retention, control and data loss

Saved browser-local records have no application-defined expiry.

Saving a Profile or Cover Letter replaces its current saved record. Saving an existing Job Application updates that record; other application records remain separate. Replacing a Profile does not necessarily remove legacy Profile backups.

CVXone currently has no dedicated whole-profile deletion control or structured backup/import feature. You can remove local records and preferences through your browser’s controls for clearing the relevant site’s data. CVXone cannot remotely delete records held in your browser.

There is no account system, so there is no account-deletion process.

Local data may be lost through clearing browser or site data, browser eviction, private-browsing behavior, storage failure, device loss or other browser/device changes. Temporary recovery and navigation warnings cannot guarantee that work will be preserved.

An exported PDF is a separate document, not a backup that CVXone can import to restore your editor data. Clearing site data does not delete exports you saved elsewhere or messages you sent by email.

Clearing browser data does not retract an AI request already sent. Cancelling a request does not guarantee deletion or that remote processing stops. For the deployed cover-letter improvement request specifically, the Worker sets store: false in its OpenAI Responses API request. This setting does not establish zero retention, training exclusions or deletion guarantees. Provider retention periods and account-level data controls have not been verified.

Cookies and technical website information

The current application source contains no application cookie use and no implemented analytics, advertising, tracking or consent system. Browser-local storage described above is still used.

Ordinary website requests involve production hosting infrastructure. Optional cover-letter AI processing uses Cloudflare Workers and OpenAI; it is separate from browser-local saving. Current logging details and remaining verification limits are described below.

Cloudflare Worker invocation logging and dashboard log persistence are enabled, with 100% log sampling configured, subject to platform limits. The cover-letter handler logs upstream failure status codes and caught exceptions. It does not explicitly log letter bodies or suggestions, but exception objects are not explicitly sanitized. Cloudflare log-retention duration and the full contents of infrastructure logs have not been verified.

Security, shared devices and younger users

Browser-local storage does not provide a guarantee of confidentiality or permanent availability. Someone with access to the same browser profile or device may be able to view stored information.

Use care on shared devices, review the information you include in documents and consider clearing site data when appropriate. Keep any exported documents secure according to your needs.

CVXone is intended to be usable by people of different ages. Younger users should avoid disclosing unnecessary personal information and involve a parent or guardian where appropriate. Any permission or other requirements may depend on applicable law and circumstances.

External services and international use

CVXone does not control external websites, email services, print destinations or services to which you choose to send an exported document. Their own practices and terms may apply.

Information voluntarily emailed to cvxone1@gmail.com is handled through ordinary email infrastructure, including the service used for that Gmail address. Email correspondence is separate from career content saved in this browser.

Using the product from another location does not create cloud synchronization or transfer saved records between devices. Optional remote processing and production infrastructure may involve service providers operating in other locations, as described in this policy.

Changes and contact

This policy will be reviewed when the product or its information-handling practices change. Published versions will identify their effective or updated date.

Questions about privacy or information handling can be sent to cvxone1@gmail.com. Please describe the issue without sending unnecessary personal information. See Contact CVXone for guidance.
